2000 volkwagen Jetta GLS. I will be back to edit and add to this in the morning with all the details. I wanted to get it on ebay now. Ive been cleaning the car all afternoon and need sleep. On May-21-14 at 22:52:48 PDT, seller added the following information: For sale is my wife's 2000 Jetta GLS. She bought the car brand new in late 1999. She has taken good care of it but it was time for something new. She recently got her nursing license and she's been driving the same car for 14+ years. She is now driving a new Sonata and we owe the dealer some money by the end of may. The exterior is black, straight with a couple very minor parking lot dings from other cars, and some nicks no larger than a dime. The rocker panels under the doors were starting to peel paint so I hit them with some gloss black rustoleum. Nothing pretty but much better than it was. There is minor rust but no holes whatsoever. The interior is in good condition as well. There is a small cigarette burn in the passenger seat about the size of a penny. The headliner is kinda dirty and stained, not badly but just not as clean as id like. The sun/moon roof works flawlessly and the headliner color is grey. The left heater vent has summer teeth, all the rest are fine. The factory rear floor mats are great, the fronts are just good. The monsoon stereo is tape only and the speakers in the upper mirror area are blown, the rest of the stereo works fine. Heat works good but the car takes a bit to get warm in the winter. The AC works good and I charge it every year. I will probably charge this one again before it sells just because I have a bunch of extra 134A on the shelf. The seats are manual with lumbar support. All power windows and locks work. Comes with 2 of the switchblade keys. The exhaust will need to be replaced really soon. It is holding but is on the noisy side. I wanted to get this done before I listed it but the exhaust shops are closed on Sunday and I don't think I will have time before auction is over. It just needs a cat back the rest should be fine. The suspension was done last fall, I put everything under there I could trying to get her to keep the car for a while longer. New shocks in rear, struts up front, springs all around, inner and outer tie rods, cv shafts, rotors, pads, shoes, wheel bearings were good so I left them, sway bar links, both control arms, Over $700 new in suspension. This thing handles like a Porsche. There is a clunk when you hit a big pothole, but I think this may be a sub-frame bushing. I'm not sure and am not crawling around under this thing any more. I will show you upon test drive. Its not bad but should be addressed sometime in the near future. The tires have about 2/3 tread left in the front and the rears are still like new. I got a set of the 16" Volkswagen rims off a guy I knew and still have the 15"s in my basement if you want them. The 16"s are on the car now in the pics. The clutch is in perfect working order as is the five speed. The motor is also in perfect mechanical condition but it did trip the check engine light due to the exhaust leak I believe. I pulled the codes and reset the light. It has not been back on since the codes were a number 3 cylinder misfire, and some piece of emission control was unhappy. Again This is nothing serious. Just get the exhaust replaced and everything should be fine. I have the codes written down if you want them. The ABS light is on and has been on for 2 years or so. I'm pretty sure that the magnetic sensors near the rotors need to be wiped from road debris or replaced. Again no big deal. The horn does not work any longer which is good cause I think my wife used it too much anyway. Maybe she wore it out? There is a small crack in the passenger side windshield were a windshield wiper smacked on the cold windshield during a wiper blade change-out. Its nothing major but its there. Hood opens and closes perfectly, as does the trunk and gas door. All four doors also open close and lock flawlessly. The reverse light needs a bulb and I think the brake light needs a bulb as well. So that is everything I can think of to tell you about the car. It really is clean for a 2000. I thought about buying it myself but I already have 3 vehicles so I really don't need it.
