Item description: 1998 BMW R1200C ABS, Blue Leather on Ivory/Cream (in my humble opinion, the best color combination that year*). This bike, manufactured on 01/January '98, got very limited use (2,284 miles!) and therefore looks and drives basically like new... Yes you read right, an original 2,284 miles and never involved in an accident. This bike has spent the majority of its life in a heated garage, on carpet. I bought her from its original owner who got it new (in TX) with the intention of finally having his dream BMW but due to health steadily declining ever since he was not able to ride it but very sparingly. Just prior to parting with the bike, he took it to Boxerworks in Watkinsville GA where she had a full service, including all fluids, brand new METZELER ME 880 MARATHON tires (Front: 100/90-18 M/C 56H; Rear: 170/80B 15 M/C 77H), new battery and the master cylinder rebuilt. The bike is amazing to ride, turns heads everywhere and is as perfect as this year and model gets with 2 exceptions: 1. The front master cylinder had a leak and there is a (slightly) "yellowed" vertical line on the tank (right side, before the chrome "R1200C" badge). 2. The chrome on these bikes were notoriously bad, particularly on the wheels. This bike is ready to ride anywhere and needs absolutely nothing but a new owner. *The Ivory BMW R1200C features in the 1997 James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies).
