Vehicle Detail
*SEE ATTACHED VIDEO: http://youtu.be/YrQ08J8TPks We are the second owners of this truck and have had it since '02 or '04 (I can't remember). This has been a good truck, but we own too many vehicles, so we're getting rid of it. Most of the issues on this truck are cosmetic. There are dents and scratches on the outside, and it's worn on the inside, with some plastic pieces that are broken. The engine is strong. Good transmission (replaced a few years ago). Here's a breakdown of the pros and cons: * It's currently registered thru May. We're putting a non-op on it since we don't drive it. It's due for a smog. * It idles a little rough * It does not overheat * You have to fill the plastic water reservoir, but the radiator stays full * The air conditioner does not work. It doesn't blow, and it doesn't get cold * The heat works * The breaks are good * Sometimes the check engine light comes on but we haven't had it checked out. On the video, you can see when we took it for a drive the light didn't come on. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. * If the plastic water reservoir is low, the "check gauges" light will come on * The automatic door locks don't work when you push the button, but when you start the truck, the locks will lock automatically. * The automatic windows, power seats, cruise control, radio, CD player all work * The driver's inside door handle broke off (typical problem with these trucks). We just role down the window and use the outside handle to open the door. * The driver's seat tilts back (it's broken somehow, but it still works) * The clear coat is peeling off on the hood and roof * It has a tow package * Good tires * There's a crack in the windshield * The handle for the emergency brake release is missing. The brake still works. * A couple knobs are missing from the radio * It has a bed liner *** You can see all this stuff in the attached video If we kept the truck, here's what we would need to do: Get it smogged, find out why the check engine light comes on sometimes, find out why it idles rough, get it registered. (We probably wouldn't get the air fixed since we've been driving without it for a while now). We are selling this truck as is. I've tried to be as thorough and truthful as I can. Kelly Blue Book lists this truck, in fair condition as: $2979 On May-19-14 at 12:10:17 PDT, seller added the following information: These are the repairs that my husband could remember: Replaced the starter. Replaced intake manifold gaskets. New distributor only because the screw mount for the cap was broken. All four shocks new. New front brakes including rotors. Rebuilt transmission, maybe 100,000 miles ago (rebuilt by a guy who owns his own transmission shop, where Aamco would bring to him the transmissions that they couldn't fix!) Then, just the regular oil changes and tune-ups. My husband did those himself, so there are no maintenance records. If we can think of anything else, we'll add it to the list.On May-22-14 at 13:08:17 PDT, seller added the following information: As stated in the description and in the video, we have put a non-op on the truck. If you are planning on driving it, you will need to get a one-day pass from the DMV. All responsibility for smogging and registering this truck will be the buyer's. We have not attempted to get it smogged, so I have no idea if it will pass smog or not. Since it idles rough, I'm assuming there will need to be an adjustment or repair before it can be smogged, so be prepared for that possibility. It still drives very good, though.
