Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is one of the nicest early Ford sedan deliveries to come up in Ebay! Over $40,000 has been invested in this car , but I will sell it at a fraction of that amount. 1947 Ford Sedan Delivery. Ultra straight body work , covered in a vibrantly beautiful yellow urethane paint . It is accented with a subtle silver strip in order to break everything up nicely. All jambs, firewall, dash, garnish moldings, under hood side have been professionally painted body color. The endercarriage was also coated in a semi flat black sealer. "Wheel Smith" provided the steelies that were powder coated silver. Thin beauty rings and baby moon caps complete the sixties nostalgic look. Brand new 205x75x15's up front, and 235x70x15's out back. All chrome and stainless are brand new. The bumper bolt holes were welded smooth , and give the car a clean look. All glass is brand new, has a slight smoked tint, and help keep the glare out of your eyes and the inside of the car. All rubber and weatherstripping is also brand new.Under the hood sits a potent 350 small block Chevy engine. Its balanced and has forged pistons , comp cam, heavy duty timing chain . On top it has an Accel HEI "Super Coil" distributor which is the most problemless units on the market. An Edelbrock intake has been mounted and polished, and a polished Carter AFB carburetor rest on top of that. A chromed 1 wire PowerMaster alternator is used for charging the cars electrical system. A polished A/C unit assures you that things not only look nice but stay cool on those warm summer days & evenings. All brackets are chrome plated, along with the valve covers, air cleaner, and breathers. The cam definitely has that "rumpity rumpity" idle . Headers, 2 1/2 pipe, and dual Dynatech mufflers give the car a nice growl , but nothing too obnoxious, since the pipes exit at the rear. Chrome tips give that period Hot Rod look. The transmission is a turbo 350 automatic , and shifts solid and perfect, like it should. Shifter is on the column . The rear end is a GM 10 bolt with parallel leaf springs and panhard bar. The gears are 3.23, so its nice on the highway as well as around town. The front suspension is a Mustang II with disc brakes. Everything is completely rebuilt and the tires only have a few hundred miles on them. This car handles like a dream, and stops on a dime! Inside the cockpit is an amazing work of art. 5 VDO gauges are mounted on a wonderful aluminum panel, and consist of Speedometer, Oil Pressure, Temperature, Volt, and Fuel. They all work and never give any issues. Next to the gauges is a stereo , and 4 speakers are hidden in all four corners of the interior. Under the dash is a large fuse panel with multi colored Ron Francis wiring kit. A beautiful tan leather LeCarra steering wheel is mounted on a tilt steering column. Leather and tweed upholstery is placed throughout the car. Its comfortable, relaxing, yet subtle to the overall look. This is a beautiful car folks. Its not one of those vintage Hot Rods that tire you after an hour of driving on the road. Its not one of the cars that make you want to stop, get out, and stay out of for a period of time. I would literally drive this car to New York if I had to, and not think twice about it. Its fast, extremely dependable, reliable, solid, and very comfortable. This car is great for the guy that wants to sleep in it. Its great to not only take to car shows, but swap meets as well. It could also be used for a business, and your logo could easily be painted on the sides. (Btw, I know of a few ultra talented artists, pinstripers, lettering guys - If you purchase the car and want something painted, I would gladly assist in that). I can't speak highly enough about this Sedan Delivery Hot Rod. Its sounds and drives as great as it looks! I reserve the right to end auction at any time. I might consider a partial trade plus cash. All sales are final. Ask all questions prior to buying and/or bidding. Potential buyer may look at car in person. There are no refunds, exchanges, warranties, guarantee's. I know of two very reliable and reputable Auto Transport companies. Buyer pays for shipping and I will see to it that the car arrives in a prompt and safe manner.Feel free to call me any time - day or evening. Have a wonderful day, Alex (909)-437-2068.
