1988 BMW 528e. 156K miles. Black on Black. Automatic transmission. Clean Title. Owned by a Certified Mechanic. Non smoker. I have owned this car for about 2 and a half years. The things I have replaced in that time are as follows..... Timing belt, tensioner, tensioner pin, water pump, all three serpentine belts, valve cover gasket, coolant flushed, power steering fluid flushed (Dexron 3), brake fluid also flushed, as well as the rear axle with 75w 90 synthetic. A/C thermistor for fan speed, Hood support struts,( last week replaced) Dashboard cover, Cooling thermostat, Upper, lower radiator hose. Expansion tank hose. Water pump hose, BMW trunk emblem,Spark plugs, Mann fuel filter twice, cap, rotor, front brake pads plus rotors, air filter, wiper blades, automatic trans filter and fluid, and the crankcase oil with original filter countless times with 10w 40 semi synthetic oil, 2 rear tires are new. New starter two months ago (bosch) Not an easy job on this car, Blower motor for heat is also new(Bosch) Out tie rods, inner tie rods, idler arm, center link, front and rear sway bar links, alignment, drag links in rear for trailing arms are all new. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Black on Black in an automatic transmission is probable the best looking combo for this vehicle and highly sought after. Very hard to find Black on Black in this condition. I truly do not want to sell this vehicle but I am forced to because I was laid off from work. With that being said I will ignore any low baller offers. The auto trans in this car shifts perfect. It is a real head turner. Clean title. Auto trans shifts perfect. The engine idles at 800 like its suppose too. Doesn't burn any oil or coolant. The a/c works. We all know that is a rarity in a car this age. The paint is probably a 7 out of 10 with surface scratches only from a previous owner who didn't know how to wash a black car properly. The car has full power. Its obviously not a race car and was never driven like one but it gets up and goes. It will do 70 on the highway no problem for an entire trip. It even has the original BMW radio in it.(I have the code as well) This car was never modified or molested. If you been looking for one of these you know how hard that is to find. All power windows, radio, heat, A/C, wipers, seat controls, all lights interior and exterior work!! Full size BMW spare, toolkit, even the BBS wheel center cap special wrench. As many BMWs of this era I looked at before I bought this one they all had exhaust noise or the exhaust was rotted. The exhaust on this car is quite and intact. For a 1988 I would have to say that there isn't much wrong and none of the problems it has are serious. I would not hesitate to tell you to drive the car home. I have confidence in this vehicle. About all the receipts available so you can buy with confidence. (how many cars on here can prove the work that was done) There wasn't anything bought from AutoZone on this car.
