Vehicle Detail
1947 Dodge three window business coupe. Dry western Nebraska car. Car looks to be rust free. Rockers and body mounts are solid. Floors are solid with two small areas that have been patched but the job was well done. Original six cylinder flathead runs well. Car has been converted to a straight three speed manual transmission, no fluid drive. Rare dual heater option with matching heaters and blowers on both sides of the car. Must have been cold in Nebraska, thats a lot of heat for a small interior! Very nice paint, no dents or scratches. Chrome trim is original and pit free. Interior seats, door panels and head liner are very clean.. Dash and window moldings are wood grained and look very nice. NOS rubber floor mat. I added a correct radio to fill in the dash but there is no speaker or antenna. Tires are good with plenty of tread. A very nice example of a unique body style. Bottoms of doors are solid, inner rocker, rocker bottoms and body mounts are solid. Trunk flooris good as is the bottom lip of the deck lid. I have added pictuers of the trunk with out its mat and pictures of the body mounts and rockers on each side. Feel free to call with any questions. Scott 303 758-6154On May-16-14 at 15:29:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I have recived some questions about how the fluid drive was swapped out. I did not do the conversion but it is evidently more involved than just swapping transmissions. After talking and sending pictures to a Dodge business coupe enthusiast who is very knowledgeable about thes cars it appears this car has had its original engine and transmission replaced with an engine, manual transmission and rear transmission crossmember from a 1950 Plymouth. The car has also most likely had its rear end changed to 3.73 gears as well. His option was that this was a preferable set up for a car that will be driven as the fluid drive transmission is not well loved by the knowledgeable and the later engine featured an improved carburator, choke and intake manifold.
