Vehicle Detail
Hello all you MOPAR and classic car enthusiasts! What we have here is a very nice, 1969 Plymouth Satellite Roadrunner Tribute. I acquired this car off a buddy of mine that spent many days and nights rebuilding the motor, sanding the car down, painting it, and he's basically spent a lot of time and money on the motor and the exterior of the car. He ran out of money to finish the interior. And here is where I come in. I had new headliner installed, new carpet, seats recovered, purchased Roadrunner interior trim panels from year one.The sun visors are in good shape, and i also installed a rear interior deck panel and basically finished up the inside of the interior to make it look brand new. The heater nor radio does not work. The previous owner rebuilt the original 318 with new flattop pistons, installed a purple MOPAR performance Cam Shaft (Nothing too radical, just has a nice lump to it). He also did a new valve job, put new bearings in it, installed an aluminium intake, a Holley carburetor, headers, and did a complete exhaust system complete from the motor to the new tips on the back. He also installed an aluminum radiator so the motor runs nice and cool. The body is very solid, with no signs of any major accident problems. It is detailed nicely under the hood with matte black exterior paint on the hood and bumpers with the semi-gloss clear over it. The HEMI orange paint job is nice and shiny, with no orange peels or runs. The body looks nice and straight, with no major body work needed. The car fires right up instantly and runs on 87 octane gasoline. The front and rear bumpers are fiberglass and it has a set of vintage hurricane wheels with very nice tires on them. The car is very solid and goes down the road straight as an arrow. It handles very nicely. The only sheet metal I see that is not original on it is in the trunk. Somebody had installed a piece of sheet metal as the trunk floor. Everything else looks original, all the windows and mouldings are in great shape and the glass goes up and down no problem. The car was left blank of emblems, so it is a blank canvas for whatever emblems you want. It has a nice rumble through the new exhaust system as you can hear on the video. The transmission shifts fine, and the car cruises down the highway at 70 MPH with no issues. The rear end makes no noise, and the car has no oil leaks and it runs quite cool. The speedometer and the amp gauge work, but the gas gauge and temperature gauge just stopped working. It might be something simple, but I've stopped working on it. This would be a great complete car for you to throw your 426 HEMI in or a 440/383. The 318 runs good as is. The car is in San Diego, and has been in California its whole life. Feel free to give me a call if you want to give it a drive, it is registered until April 2015. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Overseas bidders welcome, will assist with the shipping of the vehicle. I tried to describe the car to the best of my ability, but it is a 45 year old car, so I may be missing something. I have a fair reserve of under $10,000. Here is the video. Here are some extra pictures.
