1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Excellent shape, runs and drives very well. Original 2F engine, de-smogged, Holley 2 barrell carb, electronic distributor, new gear reduction starter, new radiator, Toyota Mini Truck power steering box with GM pump. Front disc, rear drum brakes. Clutch master and slave cylinders and brake master cylinder were new 3 years ago, all work well. The tub was hand fabricated from 1/8" steel with 3/16" gussets from the front seats back. The front floor pan and firewall are original. Seats are Procar buckets and the rear is a flip and fold bench purchased from ironpigoffroad.com. Bestop soft top and doors, original doors are included. Tires are 31 x 10.5" Nokian Vativa on stock rims. No A/C or radio, although a new, functional antenna is installed. Excellent shape, runs and drives very well and was used as a daily driver last summer. Gets TONS of looks and compliments. The truck is garage kept. It is very fun to drive and needs only minor servicing: The transmission rear output seal has a leak and needs to be replaced, the center link needs a rebuild (the steering works fine, just wanders a bit (this is a common issue), some of the bulbs in the gage cluster need to be replaced or cleaned (I only drive it during the day time so this isn't an issue for me) and the carb could use some fine tuning. We are relocating across the country and can't maintain it any longer. The hard-top is available, but it is currently in pieces and has not been restored. It is available separately, ask if interested. The paint isn't show room perfect and has some scratches and chips that are only really visible from up close. The original door hinge pins are not included but are available from on-line retailers (i recommend using bolts for easy removal). The bottom of the doors have some rust which is why I went to the soft doors. Included are the original rear heater that has been restored but not used since, an extra Holley carb (same model), factory 4WD and Toyota badges for the rear of the tub, CCOT rear floor mat and front and rear insulation, restored filler neck covers for the inside of the cab, restored OEM glove compartment speaker bracket, and other small parts. $500 non-refundable deposit is required within 24 hours of the auction's end. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end via wire transfer, certified bank check. If Paypal is used, the buyer pays the 3% PayPal fee.
