Vehicle Detail
Selling my early Porsche 912, Three gauge dash. I believe the car was build in August 1965, Title says 1966 Nice driver, very original, runs very well. Weber carburettors, original Solex carburettors come with the car. 5 Speed Transmission. Odometer shows 58969 miles COA is ordered and comes with the car. Inspection and test-driving welcome. VIN # 451733, Engine # 741101, Transmission # 5190318 Additional Pictures: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/yhhe6dtd9gno88n/AAAzxyfLGkz0IXNz_fJJPmc3a On May-11-14 at 13:21:40 PDT, seller added the following information: Answers to questions I received regarding my Porsche 912: The Porsche 912 has been in Colorado since Nov 2003. Before that, the car was owned by a retired doctor in Nebraska. The odometer appears to be original as the date stamp on the back reads 7/65. The odometer reads 58969 miles, however, original mileage cannot be proven. Online verification shows that the car was build in 1965, and that the VIN /engine numbers match. I have ordered a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) from Porsche North America. Will post when received. When the front bumper is removed, it is visible that the front middle sheet metal had a slight deformation at one point. The car was repainted a long time ago. I cannot see any evidence that the car had a different color before. It is possible that bondo was used. Underbody appears to be original with a few old repair spots visible. Car runs and drives. The tires are old and should be replaced. The shocks are soft and need to be replaced for safe driving on the roads. Battery is disconnected when the car is stored. If the battery is connected it will lose power after a couple days if the car is not driven. Answered to the best of my knowledge.
