Don't believe the listed values? You can look it up for yourself if you would like to verify the numbers! Why do I have such a cheap price on this car? Simple answer, I want the car sold fast. I need the money to pay for a vacation this summer. This is a pretty slick ride.A black on black BMW is always a good looking car! Interior alone is worth the starting price of this auction!I've seen wrecked 525i ***parts cars*** on ebay with $2000 bids, So I know that my BMW is a good deal, a VERY good deal!This is a running, driving BMW with a price at 1/2 of the lowest retail value!Yes, this car has a clear title.This is NOT a salvage, or flood car.Compare my price to others and I think you will agree that my price is not only more than fair, it is a bargain! Body condition: Pretty good for it's age, but not perfect. This car is what can be referred to as a "10 footer". Looks good from 10 feet away, but body issues are noticeable up close.Small dent top of passenger side fender.Both fenders have a little surface rust at the bottom rear corner, close to the doors, but not easily noticeable. Fenders are NOT what I would call "rotted out".Drivers door has pealing paint at the mid-molding, & lite surface rust along the bottom edge.All glass is in good condition.All lights are in good condition.Hood, doors & trunk are all fully functional.A few months ago this car was on a mechanics lift. I got a good look at the underside & was impressed at how good the underside of this car is. Although not perfect, body condition is defiantly way better than most Ohio cars from 1990! This car has a matching set of aftermarket custom wheels on it that look much better than stock wheels in my opinion. Interior condition: Interior is very good. Original radio has been removed, but I have an aftermarket radio that goes with the car. It will need installed.Seats are in very good condition. Same with the headliner, dashboard, door panels, carpet, ect.There is an electric motor in the dash that controls a flapper door in a heater duct that is making some noise, but not a big deal.It is very rare to find a car from 1990 with an interior this nice! Mechanical condition:Like just about any used car, this BMW does need a couple repairs.This is my summer car, I do not drive it in the winter. Since it has been sitting all winter, the battery is low. The car has needed a jump start the last 2 times I started it. Although it does start right up with a jump, it is possible that the battery might need replaced. With a good battery charging, the car will not need jumped.The water pump needs replaced (I found a brand new pump right here on eBay for $28, & Auto Zone carries them for $46).The water pump is the biggest needed repair that I know of, and isn't that big of an issue.The car is drivable the way it is, but I would not drive it far until the water pump has been replaced. Unless you are a local buyer (very local) I recommend towing or trailering the car to avoid overheating the engine. I have not let the engine overheat, but it probably would overheat if left running long enough. Temp gauge does work, so it is easy to tell when you need to shut off the engine.Drivers side rear strut mount squeaks when you hit a bump. Mount needs replaced. I have a brand new mount that goes with the car when it sells.Muffler has a small pin hole. Exhaust is not that loud, but is noticeable. No need for a high priced stock muffler when a cheap universal muffler will get the job done. The muffler that is on the car now is a typical oval shaped universal muffler. So I know that a cheappie universal muffler will fit this car. The rest of the exhaust looks good.Some times the tachometer works, sometimes it doesn't. I have not looked into this, so I can't say what is wrong with it.There is a minor ticking noise from the engine, which is typical for these cars. Probably in need of a valve adjustment. Repairs done within the last year:2 passenger side front control arms & ball joints.2 coolant temp sensors.Front drivers side tire is brand new.Coolant system has been flushed. Not just the radiator, the whole system was flushed.Idle control valve replaced.Fan clutch replaced.Thermostat replaced. Air filter box replaced.Every part I put on this car came from eBay. There are many really good deals for BMW parts to be found on eBay. BMWs have a reputation for being expensive cars to own, but I've found that to not be entirely true. Take a look at the prices for 1990 BMW 525i parts that are currently listed on eBay & you'll see what I'm talking about.Overall, this is a good car for the money. Yes, it does need some work, no different that just about any used car.It is very likely that this car could be purchased & repaired for a total investment well below the N.A.D.A. book value.If you are looking for a good deal on a 5 series BMW, you just found it.If you are looking for a car to re-sell & make a profit on, you just found it. ============== Important information, please read =============This car has a clear Ohio title.This car is located in North East Ohio, In Portage county.
