Why own a replica when you can Own an Original? This was built in 1967 by a dealer in Lithia Springs Ga which built these for a local dealership. I do not believe it to be an authentic Meyers, but it is the same body style. Comes with the original title which was issued once the car was paid off in 1970. I am the 2nd owner of this car and have never registered it, I had planned on restoring it to show condition but it just keeps sitting around in the shop and I am no VW expert any how. Car comes with a brand new wiring harness, still in the bag, Car has not been street driven since 1978, however it has been cranked and driven around the yard, up and down the driveway and the occasional no insurance sneak to the gas station. This is a project but it needs very little to be a nice Dune buggy. Needs Tires, I believe this may in fact be the original set, the back ones have been re-capped, needs new wheel cylinders, will stop with emergency brake, I put a new master cylinder on a while back so it must be the wheel cylinders. Car has a set of original 1967 RS Camaro seats with good tracks on them, I have been offered as much as $500.00 for the seats alone. Has had 1 repaint a while back which shows a little age but still shines nicely. This would make a good toy for someone, has a good running single port engine, strong clutch etc. What you see is what you get, needs trailered due to tires and brakes, will crank and drive onto your hauler, in fact I will post a video later tonight of it cutting donuts in the back yard, message me for the link.
