Vehicle Detail

This auction is for one crispy 69 olds 442. Here’s the story: This was the first car I ever owned. I bought the car when I was 15. Spent my graduation money rebuilding the engine. Drove the car till 2nd gear started slipping and decided to put it in the barn till my girls graduated. My youngest graduated 2 years ago so I was ready to start working on the car, that is until I received a phone call that my grandmas barn was on fire. I immediately asked which barn as we have a couple on the farm. The person on the phone couldn’t tell me so during the 8 mile drive I tried to keep positive. Unfortunately when I got there the barn and every thing in it was a loss. I had a huge lump in my throat. A food delivery truck had slid off the road on ice, hit the barn and burst into flames. Thank God everyone was safe. So that brings me to this auction. What to do with the car. If I were to haul it for scrap I would have to turn a good muscle car title, not to mention any fragment of 442 history that could be savaged. Here’s what I can tell you, the trans was melted off. C series heads are bare castings bolted to the block. The exhaust manifolds are in the trunk. Im not sure of the condition of the block or crank. If you win the auction you can pick and choose what you wish to keep. If you choose to want just the title I’ll have to cut the car into small enough pieces to get in the scrap yard. If you want the block I’ll crate it and ship it. If you want the whole car I’ll load it on my trailer and bring it to you for a charge of course. Perfect parts for a Cutlass clone project. I just hate to see it go. I guess my dream would be to have Chip Foose pick up on the story and overhaul it. If you have any questions please ask. Good luck! If the car don’t sell I will immediately haul it to the shredder next week as I need to get things cleaned up around the farm so we can move forward. Please plan to pay by paypal. Shipping to be determined depending on how much you wish to recieve. Thanks Mark
