Super Dry MG MIDGETThe most important details to review when purchasing a 43 year old vehicle are rust, accident history and engine condition. This particular Midget has a very solid and rust free body, with straight original sheet metal and no signs of accidents. The engine starts right up and holds 150 lbs compression at each cylinder.The original Mallard green paint has recently been refinished and looks terrific. The Interior has also been restored with new carpet, door panels, seat covers as well as most of the window rubber, window felts and body gaskets. The Convertible top is also in near new condition. The doors, hood and trunk latch nicely and the side windows move with ease. Also a new fuel tank was recently installed. As mentioned earlier, the body is in amazing condition. "No surprises here" ....nobody likes surprises after you purchase a car. The rocker panels are beautiful, as well as inner fenders and inner valances. There are no signs of accidents, welds, panel replacement or rust. Inside of the doors look spotless and even the battery area is solid! This Midget has obviously been cared for and garage kept.This MG Midget has been recently tuned with electronic points and fires right up. The engine runs strong with no ill noises, has great compression at all cylinders and has high oil pressure. The steering, clutch and the brakes all work well. The lights and turn signals and even am/fm radio are in working order too.The bumpers could use re-chroming to make the car perfect, but it still looks great and draws a crowd wherever it goes.
