Vehicle Detail

1985 Turbo Shelby Charger Survivor, mostly original except for the thousands of dollars of new parts and labor I have put into this car for the last three years! No liens, currently insured, tagged, registered in Georgia and all in my name. No title required in GA for cars over 25 years old however, a registered car, when it changes hands, you can apply for a new title if you wish but it is just not necessary at all. Sold and registered and insured in Georgia currently on a Bill-of-sale. I am the third owner, purchased 3 years ago in Georgia from the 2nd owner, a student, that purchased the car from the original owner and older man in Chickamauga GA.Car runs, drives, steers, starts every time. I've been rebuilding and replacing parts for the restoration for about 3 years. Car has been a reliable daily driver for almost a year while my other car was in paint and body. Other car is home now, so this one goes up for sale.A lot of the parts that have been replaced, did not need to be replaced. However, if I am going to the trouble to replace rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, why not go ahead and also do rear wheel bearings for an extra $20 and 30 minutes of labor. So, a lot of what was replaced was just to increase reliability and reduce the probability of future needed repairs. Both the starter and alternator worked fine for example, but they were both replaced in favor of an upgrade or better designs. I didn't have to install a hiem joint upgrade on the shift rods, but I know that is a problem on these cars so the old prone to pop-off rods were replaced. This car is full of examples like that.So here is a list of all the work I've done. Most of it was done in the last 12 months, but the engine was fixed and running almost two years ago now.EngineOriginal Chrysler/Dodge 2.2 turbo charged T1 engineNumbers matching engine / 86,000 original and documented milesRebuilt cyl head, new valve stem seals, complete valve jobMopar Performance heavy duty head gasket11mm head bolt upgrade (from smaller 10mm)Complete tune up: plugs, cap, rotor, pick-up, Magnacore wires - newAcel coil (with proper internal ballast resistor) - newAll new seals, front crank, cam, rear crank, intermediate shaftAll filters, air, oil, fuel -newAll new belts: AC, PS, Water pump/alternatorNew timing belt and tensionerNew motor mounts: front and passenger sideRebuilt starterNo oil leaksAll new sensors, MAP, coolant, head temp, TPS, o2 sensor, speed sensorAll fluids drained, flushed and refilled (coolant, oil, brake fluid, power steering)Cooling SystemReplaced radiator - newReplaced water pump - newAll new radiator and heater hosesNew heater control valveNew 180* thermostatBillet aluminum thermostat housingCharging SystemNew Nippon Denso 90 amp (Vs original Bosch 68 amp)New alternator beltUpgraded charge harness for 90 amp alternator and/or large stereo ampsNew batteryNew battery cable ends, protectant and corrosion guard padsFuel SystemNew gas tankNew 255 Walbro fuel pumpNew fuel sock/strainerNew fuel filterAll new fuel injection hosesNew fuel pressure regulatorNew injectors (OEM)New fuel pressure damperTransmission and cv axlesFreshly rebuilt A525 5 speed transmission: All bearings and seals replaced, good shifting unit hot or coldQuick shift shifter option installedHeavy Duty chrome moly end plate for longer lifeHiem/Sperical bearing shift rod upgrade (will last forever)Filled with Royal Purple SynchromaxNew Centerforce II clutch disk and pressure plateNew throw out bearingReplaced clutch cableNew passenger CV axle completeNew drivers CV axle completeHeat/ACFully functional, all modes work great: heat, vent, defrost, AC, AC MaxAll 4 fan speeds work: Low, medium, high, highest New low and High pressure AC hoses (proper barrier type hose takes R12 OR R134)Charged with R12, blows nice cold airNew Receiver/Drier accumulatorReplaced AC compressor (NAPA Gold rebuilt unit)New Condensor (4 seasons)Replaced auxiluary fan - used OEMNew heater control valveRadio/StereoNew JVC AM/FM/CD player (crutchfield rated 5 stars)New two front, two rear spekers, tri-axial, awesome soundInteriorNo rips or tears in front or rear seats, a few cracks in the piping between seamsVery clean seats, maybe an 7-8 out of 10Original grey cloth Shelby logo seats (logos are worn but visible)GLHS style steering wheelRebuilt horn pad, works good, blows horn as it should when depressedNeeds carpet if you want it more like a show car.
