Vehicle Detail
For sale is a very fun, very good looking Red on Tan Triumph Spitfire 1500. It was manufactured in 1978 and titled in 1979. This car and is waiting for a new owner to put on the finishing touches, or drive it as is and just have fun. Mechanically, the car runs very well. It has been garage kept since I have owned it. It has newer suspension components and brakes. The interior was installed new about 5 years ago and is in in good condition. It rides on brand new Minilite wheels and brand new Michelin tires. The paint job is what I call a “10 foot paint job”; it looks great from 10 feet away, but when you get closer you see various dings and nicks on it which are appropriate for its age. You can see some of the nicks and scratches in the hood in the pictures included. It includes a factory hard top, a soft top and a tonneau cover. I have a brand new soft top included with the sale of the car that just needs to be installed. Also you’ll notice in the pictures that the emergency brake cover/console is missing. I have that part, as well as a few other interior components, in the original biscuit colored vinyl. These parts will come with the car to be reupholstered in black or tan to match the rest of the interior. Also include is the spare tire, a car cover (not pictured), a Haynes shop manual, the cowling cover for the steering column (I’m missing the screws to reinstall it) and some miscellaneous hardware not pictured. Please e-mail me with any questions on the Spitfire and I will quickly respond. Also a pre-purchase inspection is available most anytime in the evenings or weekends... just e-mail for an appointment. Winning bidder is to pay in full WITHIN (3) three days of winning the auction. Cashier’s check, money orders, personal check (must clear first), or cash in person are all acceptable methods for payment. If the winner wishes to use a transport company or a trailer for delivery I will be happy to be available to the driver to expedite a timely transfer. The vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself/herself as to the condition of the vehicle.
