Up for sale is a very nice Classic Ford Thunderbird hot rod project car. I bought it to build a street car to play with but I just don't have time for it. It is a low mile (76,000 original miles) car of which I am the 3rd owner. It has not been wrecked or painted on and is in great shape for a 1988. The interior is super nice too. The car still currently has the factory 3.8L V6 and AOD automatic transmission. I recently drove it 150 miles with no issues. I have not driven it after the 5 lug conversion / rear end swap except for around the block since it will need a front end alignment and a 4 wheel disc (Turbo Coupe) master cylinder. Here is a list of what I have done so far: New front struts, tie rod ends and 5 lug rotors. Newer front brake pads, calipers & hoses. Freshly built 5 lug 8.8" rear end: New 31 spline axles New Ford Racing 3.55 gears New 31 spline Traction-Loc differential w/ carbon fiber clutches New disc brake calipers, pads & rotors New CHE tubular (adjustable) upper & lower control arms New KYB shocks New Weld Draglite 15" x 10" and 15" x 7" wheels New 215/65-15 Bridgestone front tires New 295/55-15 Mickey Thompson ET street radials This car is a "Fox body" with many interchangeable parts with the 1979 - 1993 Mustangs. My plan was to put in a 351W stroker, which will drop right in. Unfortunately, I don't have time to finish it. This will make a GREAT platform for your street car! I can send more pictures if needed.
