Bought on ebay a couple of years ago $3K, advertised "ready to ride". My butt--after a new chain, new fork seals, brake pads, battery (lithium ion) carb rebuild, valve adjustment, new windshield--NOW it's ready to ride.Should be push button and go for the next 5000 miles. Gen Mar bar risers, 31" seat height (can be restored to 34" by rotating axle). Tires at 80%. Carbon fiber mufflers produce a nice growl on the street, but mellow out to an unobtrusive rumble on the freeway. Saeng winglet attached to windshield, if you haven't ridden behind one of these, you're taking too much abuse. Airstream is directed over your helmet. So--why sell? As a musician, I owe a lot in studio time. Reserve reduced to $3500. I'm one of those "buy high, sell low" guys. And, by the way, when the magazines were testing this bike, the only way they could get a speed reading was to tape a car license plate on the back. They said there was not a straight surface to bounce the laser/radar back. I thought it was BS, except I passed enough police going the other way (especially in Oregon) 80 in a 50, and saw the officer looking at his display with surprise.
