For sale is a 1974 Bmw r60/6 that is in great original shape with a clean title and only 6,948 original miles. I purchased the bike from the original owner who had it sitting since the early 90's in a garage covered in blankets. Still has original tires and very low mileage. Haven't tried to start it but all the electronics work when hooked up to power, engine turns over. I believe with the carbs cleaned, fresh oil, new battery and gas this bike will fire up no problem. the carb slides are just a little sticky. the only flaws are that the original grips are dry rotting a bit with cracks, the rear sissy bar has a slight tear in the top, and the original exhaust pipes have some rust and holes near the back ends that I tried to show pictures of. The tank has very little rust inside, the frame has some small rust spots up close also the side covers are either missing a mount or do not fit ,but they are included in the listing. Other than that this bike is an original example that is very clean and has a lot of extras. There are Bates saddle bags with the mounting instructions still intact and 2 keys, the bike has 2 ignition keys, original owners manual in the case, original and complete tool kit, even has the original tire air pump under the seat. The bike looks excellent overall and has been kept very well over the years.
