true "garage" find - 2 owner family car - dad bought and son bought from dad -stored in garage the last 15 yrs while PO in military - he returned injured (THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO AMERICA!!) and is/was unable to start restoration - i have had car in inventory for years and finally getting to it - beginning with restoration of original 40hp (stale air heater box's) that his father up graded to "82mm big bore kit" - motor ran with about 8.5 end play so no reason to crack block but 1 pushrod tube had crack so i broke it down to replace (which i would of done any way due to age) . - rebuilt original heads - NOS oil pump - reconditioned 6v generator and distributor with new cap, rotor, points, wires and plugs - new clutch/pressure plate kit - new muffler - every other part media blasted and painted with high heat ceramic paint and or restored back as close to original as possible - motor is reassembled and running - body in good shape other than minor rocker panel patching and needing the usual floor pan patches/replacing etc - **MOTOR IS INSTALLED AND CAR "DRIVING" WITH EMERGENCY BRAKE ONLY - I CAN DO WHAT EVER REPAIRS YOU REQUEST FOR A FAIR PRICE AFTER PURCHASE ** - NEW FLOOR PANS FROM "DENMARK" CAN BE ADDED FOR "SHIPPING" WITH CAR TO WINNING BID FOR AN ADDITIONAL $400.00. - link to lots of pics and 2 vids ** http://s1093.photobucket.com/user/carmaneg/library/1962%20vw%20ghia ** call me 8am-10pm cst - 214-727-2225 - i can ship local or international if needed so call Kyle Harman with Horizion auto shipping 281-488-2604 (info@horizionautoshipping.com) for quote.
