1989 Mercedes 260E One Family Ownership NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! Our client purchased this 1989 - 260E new at the local Mercedes Benz dealership September 9, 1989. Finished in Black (040) with Tan MB Tex interior, the cosmetics are super, the mechanicals are excellent. Some very minor chips here and there, but its really clean. The books are stamped for service like they were in the old days, before all the service departments were put in a data base. It's had great care and is a really nice looking Mercedes. The 260E and the 300E were produced the same year. The tires are very good and have about 85% tread life remaining. The 260 engine is very well known for its durability and was also featured in the 190 class automobile and in the S class overseas. I would not hesitate to drive this Mercedes Benz cross country.
