1966 Ford Mustang 6-Cylinder Offered here is a 1966 Ford Mustang 6 Cylinder that has been in our family since purchased new in 1966. This car is truly a “Thursday Car”, manufactured January 27, 1966 in Metuchen, NJ and sent to District Sales Office in Atlanta, GA, where it was purchased on 31 May 1966. It was my grandmother’s “daily driver” until she gave up driving after a low speed fender-bender (not her fault). My father meticulously restored it using OEM parts, keeping every possible detail “original” and period authentic. He wanted it to look like it just left the factory. Fresh fender, no bondo. Authentic trunk liner, and even the original sticker inside trunk lid (see photos). Non-smoker and no pets. The interior restoration includes treating the floorboards, new carpet, pony mats, seats professionally re-upholstered, door panels, and headliner. We had the carburetor rebuilt and resurfaced by a specialist this year. The radiator is new, recent plugs, distributor cap and rotor, temperature sensor, and fluids have been changed, tire tread has 90% or more left. There are too many details to list, but I have 48 years worth of receipts to document everything, and that thick folder can go with the car as well. Dad had a few more parts in the garage that can go with it. Car is sold “As-Is”, no warranty expressed or implied. Deposit of $500 within 48 hours upon winning bid, balance due within 10 days.
