Cheap Thrills! The only reason that I am offering her is because I’ve bought another one, in Lapis Blue. Actually this Dark Blue 1984, drives better but has more miles and its interior is better. Yet, I prefer the color of the 1985. I took these pictures this past Sunday right before the snow and not very pleased with the pictures because they do not do the car justice. Car is amazing with the sun behind it! “Mercedes built the car to last, and many are still on the road today. I got this car from my friend who happens to be a Mercedes Diesel expert. Pete goes over all of these cars before buying them and drives the kinks out of them, then fixes and tunes them to its optimal performance. Some he has kept, this is one of them that he sold to me. It has been vacuum tuned and runs quicker than all of them. All of the fluids, oils and filter have been replaced or checked and/or changed and will be checked again prior to purchase. 2. Stringent Virginia State Inspection has just been completed. You don’t get a sticker in Virginia unless the brakes, lights, steering, horn, windows and more are acceptable for the road. 3. None of these cars are exactly alike in how they perform and drive. Do not let the mileage fool you because this one drives smoother, tighter and quieter than previous ones that I’ve owned. Reliability is an understatement. This one, none of them ever let me down. I feel confident that this car will go anywhere. For those of you that do not know about these cars... they all are reliable...but this one is tight, smooth as silk, quick, cruise at 80 and up all day long, low temperature, no rattles. Best part about this 300D is the way it moves on down the road. She can be driven and driven and driven anywhere. 4. I have the records back from 1996 and vehicle history and title report appear to indicate this was either a one or two owner car and has been in the North Carolina and mostly Virginia most of its time. Also, the records from 96 on indicate the car was serviced at Mercedes in Richmond, VA. Other considerations for your purchasing decision: - Up in value - Hard to find - Well maintained with records - Primarily a one owner, southern car - No reported accidents or incidents - Stringent VA inspection just completed - Tuned up to perfection and gone over by a Mercedes Diesel Expert - Quicker, quieter and smoother than others previously owned - Dark Blue, very clean - Everything works to its optimal condition - Nice looking car and runs great - Tires good to very good - Drives 10 - Brakes 10 - Electric Sunroof 10 - Windows 10 clear – front windshield slight ding on windshield - Seats, interior very good – drivers seat (see pic) - Seats could be lightly dusted as it is called to bring to perfection - Body – solid (slight rust noted drivers side rear, see pic) Known Needs: Air Conditioning – The system was replaced in 2001 and got the record. I purchased the car in the winter and did not concern myself with it. The air conditioning needs to get checked. According to Hagerty Ratings these cars keep increasing in value and I have adjusted the price considerably. These cars are used for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses, and the casual passerby will not find any visual flaws.
