1968 DODGE CHARGER WITH A HEMI !!!. This is a car that was restored by my father in law in conjunction with AUTHENTIC AUTOMOTIVE, and mostly driven to local car shows. My father in law was an air force flight engineer and he has passed on. The engine is a bored and stroked original hemi that displaces 484 inches. Compression ratio is 9.5 -1 courtesy of DIAMOND PISTONS. Pump gas isn't a problem. The heads were rebuilt utilizing hardened valve seats. It has a heavy duty radiator made for the hemi engine. It has dual carbs and a cam a little bigger than stock. Comp cams hydraulic flat tappet #24-000-5. The trans is a 727 automatic rebuilt by automatic transmission design, with a gear vendors overdrive behind it. The rear end is a DANA 60 with 3:54 gears and a posi traction unit. You can guess what it can do to tires. I have never seen him do anything to it though. The car has front disc and rear drum brake setup. This is not a numbers matching car. We do have the original engine if you want it [383]. The odometer reading is not known to be accurate. It may be correct, we cant prove it. We found a large box of receipts for the work that was done to it. The right front fender has a paint crack. This is an A/C equipped car, but the engine isn't equipped for it. It has dual exhaust with an H pipe and the exhaust note is so sweet that rolling the windows up is like kissing your sister. Buyer is to arrange and pay for shipping.
