This is a barn find that is one I have never seen before. The warranty plate shows all of the codes for a 1964 1/2. The interior code is a 1965 production. Further research shows the car started its build August 13, 1965, and finished its build after the weekend, which was the start of the actual 1965 production year. I have included pictures of the codes and where I found the code identification information. The car has a complete extra set of all glass, although the glass in it appears to be not damaged. The bucket seats installed in the car are not original, but the original seats are with the car. It has the 289 2V, C4 Automatic, and 280 rear end. The body has some quarter panel rust. The hood has some damage. The car needs total restoration, but it is all there! I have never seen a split year collectable car like this! This car was built in San Jose, CA, and originally sold in Los Angeles, CA. The warranty plate codes show body 65A, Color 7, Trim 26, Date 13H, DSO 71, Axle 6, Trans 6. The VIN number is 5R07C127880. The only code for 1965 is the trim code: 26. This car has a clear, up-to-date Oklahoma title.The vehicle is being sold "as is", with no warranty.
