Vehicle Detail

1941 CHEVROLET FLEETLINE 4-DOOR SEDAN SPECIAL DELUXE You are bidding on a 1941 Chevy Fleetline 4-door Sedan Special Deluxe. This car has been stored for 30 years and has recently been brought out and back to life. This is all original and has never been restored. The exterior is almost perfectly straight and with only surface rust. The interior is still beautiful with Brown / Tan cord upholstery and shows little problems for a car 73 years old!! The wood grained interior trim is still very nice as well. The rubber floor mats are gone and most of the rubber seals on this car are bad. All chrome trim and bright work are still nice throughout on this 73 year old car. Powered by the "Victory six" as it was called the 216.5 Inline 6 Cyl. produced 90 H.P. paired with a 3 spd. transmission w/ column shift, semi-floating rear axle and 4-wheel hydraulic brakes!! The car starts on the first crank and runs smooth and with no smoke!!! Equipped with deluxe steering wheel / horn ring, stainless hood moldings / window reveal moldings, chromed license plate lamp, super deluxe heater / defrost system, clock, fac. radio, wide white tires, fog lights, full size trunk spare!!! All lights and gauges are working but I could not get the radio to play. The problems that I know exist are: Brakes do not function well, e-brake is OK, the fuel fill hose leaks, the tires hold air only because the inner tubes work. It will need most rubber hoses for fuel and vacuum, and rubber body seals, the left front windshield glass, the knob for the hood release, and some TLC. The 1941 Chevrolet models featured new Fisher bodies and a fresh frontal appearance. Their 116-inch wheelbase, three inches longer than in 1940, made them the longest Chevrolets yet - and they were roomier inside, too. These were the first Chevrolets made without running boards. The refined 1941 Chevrolet engine produced 90 horsepower from its 216.5 cubic-inch displacement. With war looming, it was named the 'Victory Six”. Slightly more than one million Chevrolet passenger cars were built - plus about 650,000 trucks - for 1941. Chevrolet owners could personalize their vehicles with numerous factory-installed accessories, and even more authorized items were available through dealerships. I am selling this for a customer of mine whose husband has passed. I have tried to help with what I know about the car and have plenty of pictures for you to judge the car’s condition!!! But if you have any questions or want more pictures or just to talk about it, call or email before you bid!!! We have a low reserve set and hope someone sees the great potential of this fine automobile!!! Shop 979-775-0214 8am to 6pm Mon. to Fri.
