Vehicle Detail
1979 Ford F150 Custom Shortbox Shortbed Standard Cab Pickup Truck This has been an excellent truck for me. I have used it for the last 2 or 3 years to pull my jet boat to the river, otherwise it just sits in the garage. Odometer says and I believe it to be a true 90k miles on this truck. Look at the dash and the tailgate. Chrome everywhere is in ridiculously good shape, grill is complete and nice, interior is like new. Drives excellent, looks great, not perfect but perfect for what I have always needed it for. Turns heads like you wouldnt believe, I can easily read lips now for statements like "that thing is awesome" or little kids "monster truck!" not to mention all of the people that used to have one "thats like my old one"... whatever they say, even the Chevy guys give me Kudos on this very clean very nice Truck. Engine runs great with no issues, entire top end has been rebuilt within the last few years to make this truck ready for PUMP GAS (runs on 87 octane with no pinging and EXCELLENT POWER. Gets around 15mpg on average, has 3.50 gears and open differentials front and rear. 400ci Engine has Ford Motorsports High Rise Aluminum Valve covers, edelbrock performer intake manifold and an Edelbrock 4bbl Carburetor. Electric choke, factory wiring, distributor, ignition, etc... is all in extremely nice shape. Leaks nothing, does not smoke, starts easy everytime hot or cold. Barely turn the motor over once and its running perfect. Flowmaster Exhaust was installed a year or two ago with 3" out the back in a Super Single, I get compliments on the sound EVERYWHERE. Sounds very good but is not at all loud, just right. Tailgate doors all open and close tight and easy. C6 Automatic transmission shifts perfectly, works in all modes as it should and does not leak. Has been adapted correctly to the Edelbrock to accomodate the kickdown linkage like Ford originally designed it. Dana 44 High Pinion Disc Brake Front end has been recently fixed up, replaced things needed not everything but things needed to make sure it drove straight, i.e. tie rod ends, steering links, ends, etc... and is all very tight. Does NOT wander like many bigger trucks. Famous 9in rear end does its job great, 3.50 gears front and rear factory with open differentials. 4x4 System works easily, Warn hubs up front go click to click easily and the transfer case goes right into 4wd 2wd 4lo etc... easily with no weird noises. Many parts are either new or like new on this truck. The paint has been refinished sometime within the last 5 years since I got it, looks good but has a few rock chips here and there as you would expect. The bed is clean and not very used at all, this pickup was rarely used "as a truck", whenever it was hauling anything it was hauling Pellets on a Pallet in the bed or towing my boat, never hauled rocks or got dirty enough to cause damage. 15x12 Baby Alcoa Wheels by Mickey Thompson, 35x12.50 Hankook Dynapro Tires with 80% tread or better Brand New Pioneer CD Player mounted in the Highliner Headliner, has bluetooth for handsfree phone talking, speakers in the ceiling, etc... works good, looks great. Brand New Carpet Kit Brand New Seat Brand New Back bumper Brand New Battery Lots more I cant think of, feel free to call or come test drive anytime. This truck is so reliable it is awesome, always always always runs good and drives great. All the windows go up and down like they are supposed to, windshield has no cracks, Power Steering is literally lke a Cadillac, drives excellent, power disc brakes up front stop her with ease, kickdown works good. Clean title in hand, please let me know if there is anything else you need from me, more pics, whatever, clean clean clean rust free truck. Very hard to find like this. Very. CALL TEXT OR STOP BY AND TAKE A LOOK ANYTIME LEVI 509.869.3966On Mar-10-14 at 08:14:35 PDT, seller added the following information: **UPDATE** I read the engine sticker incorrectly and listed the engine as a 400M, both 5.8l (351M) and 6.6l (400M) engines are listed first on the sticker and I assumed it to be a 400M not knowing, truly the truck is stickered (just one line below the line I read, see picture) and VIN'd for a 351M. If there is anything I can do to verify whether this is a numbers matching engine please let me know and I will post up pictures or whatever might be needed. I bought this truck from a good friend who inherited it from his Uncle who got it from his Father, my friends grandfather, who bought the truck new here in Spokane. Nobody has ever mentioned the engine being replaced, when I had our family mechanic swap the top end of the engine he did note the engine's cylinders had "no ridge" and looked very clean inside. I believe it to be original engine transmission transfer case, etc.. but I would be happy to verify that if there is a way. Feel free to call text or email anytime, thank you all for all of the interest, I posted a picture of the hood sticker and added it to the listing, some local attention too so bid high and bid often, I reserve the right to sell it before the auction ends if somebody makes it to me with enough cash to talk me off the internet :) Levi 509.869.3966 On Mar-10-14 at 08:25:51 PDT, seller added the following information: LIFT IS SUSPENSION ONLY AND DONE CORRECTLY, NO HOME MADE JUNK. NO BODY LIFT AT ALL. Factory body mounts are all in excellent condition with no rust or dilapidation to factory rubber components. On Mar-13-14 at 16:17:14 PDT, seller added the following information: **NODULAR 9 INCH REAR END** So I had my family mechanic make sure the axles and transfer case were full of their fluids as I want to make sure the truck is road ready in the event somebody wants to drive My truck home, some have been talking as far as Virginia, Alberta Canada, etc. Moral of the story is my mechanic said my truck has an N-Case (or a Nodular, signified by the N on the upper front of the rear end) Rear End which he said was in Drag Pack Mustangs and other Factory Ford Muscle Cars of the vintage, some trucks he said came with them too. I looked them up here on eBay and just the insides of the rear end is going for $1200+. Just another cool option to ad to the long list this truck is packing around :) , pictures for verification. I also added pictures of the floorboards from the bottom, they are super solid and rust free see for yourself. Front cab corners are rust free, took pictures of those too, and the front and rear suspension as requested from a couple folks. Thank you again for all of the interest, been nice talking to all the folks that have called. Feel free to call text or email anytime. Not much time left! BID TO WIN!!!
