The car has been updated mechanically, so it can be used and driven with safety and reliability. It's a driver and ready to go anywhere! Under the hood is a rebuilt Chevy 305 small block V8, that provides plenty of power for daily driving. The transmission has been replaced with a 7004R (with overdrive), to allow comfortable, smooth shifting...even at highway speeds! In addition, the brake system has been upgraded to power front disc brakes. This is a South Florida car, so rest assured the A/C blows icy cold. Ultimately what has been achieved is the comfort and reliability of everyday modern driving with the presence and nostalgia of a true vintage car that will steal the spot light at any local car show. The Bel Air has also been equipped with a modern day sound system, including: Pioneer removable face CD player, 6x9/door insert speakers and two Pioneer subwoofers.
