up for sale is this 1937 plymouth pt-50 truck. i recently bought all the contents of an old autobody shop and the truck was sittin there in the back of the shop, waiting for a good home. the guy i bought it from told me it was his fathers truck . it had been sitting in the bodyshop since 1951. i will describe it as best i can...the body is solid. it has plenty of surface rust, but very solid, no body rot. even the original running boards are very solid. it has a flathead 6 cyl, a 4 speed tranny, all the glass is good, i have the headlite buckets with the glass lens marker lites, all the original hubcaps, the mayflower hood ornament and plymouth emblem which mount to the grille assembly. i also have the radiator which is in great shape and looks to have been re- cored in the past, and i have the stainless steel hood inserts. i have not tried to start the truck. all i have done is pour a little mystery oil in the cyls. i do not know if the motor runs. the seats are junk, even the springs. they'll be useful for measurements, so they go with the truck. there is also a lot of old mopar parts in original 30s boxes, some are unopened. i don't know if they go to the truck but they will be included in the sale. it has no title. feel free to ask questions. i am also listing my christine clone car. 57 plymouth savoy, 318 poly ,dual quad running motor,painted,sport trim,rebuilt torqueflite,rebuit 8 3/4 rear....check it out. i will sell both together or possibly trade for something unique. i would trade both for a gasser of equal value. happy bidding. both are for sale/trade locally,so the auction may end early...............
