Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. I purchased this car on March 9, 2009 from a fellow eBayer out of Stuart, Florida. I had the car shipped to Indiana with every intention of having it restored but I have been unable to even get started on it and it has been sitting in storage untouched since the day it arrived. With that being said, I have decided to let it go. It was delivered new to Southern Chrysler Plymouth in High Point, North Carolina on April 15, 1972. It has only had three owners since new, and the car still wears its original paint. The body is extremely straight. The interior is complete, and the door panels are in very good shape for their age. The seats have just a few splits in the seams, but could possibly be vinyl repaired to save their originality. The front floors are nearly perfect, with just one small hole to repair (you cannot even see it in the pictures), and the trunk floor is also in very solid shape. The rear floor pans will need to be replaced. Overall, the pictures show how solid and original the car is. The doors still shut like new, as it has not been beaten, smashed, and abused like most of these cars have. It still wears its original paint, and the Road Runner sticker on the trunk is original. It looks to have been a vinyl top car, with the horizontal hood stripes. The yellow and black color combination is a true head turner. It is a true 400ci manual 3 speed transmission car, and it has an engine and transmission included, but disassembled (see pictures). The 400 was a bored out 383ci from 1971. With the rising emissions standards in 1972, more displacement was needed to get the needed horsepower for this muscle car. I can not guarantee that this vehicle is numbers matching. Under the hood, the car is extremely solid as the pictures show, and the car looks to have been a power steering, power brakes car. The parts that I know for sure are missing are the pulleys, distributor, carburetor, water pump and air cleaner. It does come with a new lower front valance and a new valance insert grille. It will make a very enjoyable project car since it is so solid and very original. It would be great with a new Hemi, or just rebuild the 400 and keep it period correct. Unfortunately I never received the title for this vehicle from the previous owner, so I will be providing the new owner with a bill of sale only. Also, there is no fender tag currently on the vehicle and I do not have the broadcast sheet. When the previous owner listed this car five years ago he indicated that he had the fender tag and he included a list showing the codes and what each code represented. I have included that list in my pictures. The VIN plate is still on the vehicle. This car has a ton of potential and I have priced it to sell! Please do not make an offer unless you intend to follow the payment requirements stated in the listing. Thank You! Jvryan62 Store
