Vehicle Detail

You are looking at my 1948 Willys CJ2A. He’s a sweet little Willys but am finishing a ground up on my Dad’s 47 and need the money to complete his. I bought this from a friend recently who had had it for 10 years prior. He had an antique Pa plate on it and drove it around town and in local parades. Its runs and works great but is a little patched up. Here are the negatives: 1. The floor is rusted but patched. The patches are solid but not professional. 2. There is a rust spot on the frame located over the right front axle. It was fixed with weld and a heavy piece of steel bar. The repair is solid but not professional. The rest of the frame is fine. 3. Two snapped off lugs (pictured) 4. Two piece windshield glass was replaced with one solid piece. 5. Rims are un-original 15” Ford truck. 6. Seats are un-original from a boat. 7. There is something draining the battery and the wiring is a little “ratty”. When I store it, I remove the pos battery cable. 8. Windshield frame has a crude “bubble gum” weld on it (pictured). 9. Paint job was done with a brush and spray cans On the plus side: 1. Engine was rebuilt 10 years ago. I’d bet there ain’t 3000 miles on it since. Runs excellent. 2. Carb is new (3 years ago) and was expensive. 3. Distributor is electronic but made to look original. 4. 12 Volt system with GM alternator. 5. Always starts first try. 6. Exhaust is solid and whisper quite. 7. Lights work. Please note these Jeeps didn’t have turn signals. 8. Brakes work great 9. Transmission, transfer case and 4X4 all work great. 10. Springs are solid and not saggy. 11. Steering is nice and tight, not sloppy. This Jeep could easily be put back on the road with a PA Antique license. It drives and works like it supposed to. (Note: top speed on these on the highway is 45 MPH flat out). Would be great to restore or just leave it as it is and enjoy it. Much cheaper than a UTV side by side and just as capable. If you love Old flat fender Willys Jeeps that operate well and am not hung up on cosmetics, this old Willys is for you. Dave 570-527-3450 Please ask all questions prior to bidding and remember that your bid is contract. E-bay is not a game. Don’t bid unless you want to buy this Willys. At the close of the auction, I require a $300 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit within 48 hours. The deposit will hold the Jeep for 10 days. The deposit is non refundable if you back out of the deal. At the time of pick up, bring cash. Good luck bidding & thank you for checking out my old Willys.
