Manufactured in 1989 this Euro BMW just turned 25 and therefore became subject to a simplified US import. It's one of those rare wagons in still a pretty good condition, so I shipped it over, went through the customs procedure and had it trucked to a close friend in Los Angeles. Now, as it is exempt of DOT and EPA, you can register at your local DMV as is with the Euro title and customs papers. Only if you live in CA, watch out for smog: I wouldn't know how to pass it. In all other states registration is straight forward, it will just take a few days to get your US title handed out. We did it several times. The mileage is still low for the 325 with 248.000 km = 154,000 miles. Engine starts right up and purrs nicely. All driving is fine. 25% diff lock. There are some dents on the hood, but the body is dent free, which is hard to find after 25 years. Interior is nice. Spare wheel is missing. Air condition!
