2001 BMW 325ci Silver Metallic Convertible 5-Speed 216K Mostly Highway Miles For sale is a 2001 BMW 325ci Convertible 5 speed. 216K miles-mostly highway, very well maintained. I bought it just off lease as a certified pre-owned vehicle from NJ Circle BMW in 2003.This car has current inspection, is driving strong and is still my primary daily vehicle. Tires are new and brakes are strong, the engine will never die. The battery is strong and has no issue starting even in extreme cold weather. The 5 speed transmission is smooth and quick. The original black fabric soft top is in very good shape and works perfectly. It has its original integrated steering controlled stereo AM/FM CD with an AUX jack added. Cruise control, heat/AC, wipers and rear defroster are all good. I have the clear title in hand. Please forgive the salt residue on the pictures, it just won’t stop snowing every week. Here is a list of all known issues. The check engine light is on due to a sensor pointing to a faulty secondary air pump. The secondary air pump comes on momentarily to warm the first air entering the catalytic converter. Since the car still runs great, I have been living with it for almost a year, but the car will not pass inspection with the check engine light on. The head gasket needs replacing to solve a slow oil leak (leaks a bit of oil but doesn't burn it). All exterior lights are working, but there is a warning light on the dashboard showing two rear lights are out. This is just a fault in the warning system and it’s not an item you will need to repair to pass inspection. Common to this model convertible, under certain drastic rain storms, the trunk will get wet. This has always been a smoke free car with a clean interior which would look great detailed. The leather on the left side of the driver seat bolster is worn and has opened partially along the seam. The right front fender got crunched in a parking lot and I only just had it banged out. There is no other body damage. This vehicle needs to be picked up from 08816 after purchase unless the buyer sets up transport with his own arrangement and payment.
