I am selling my 2000 Chevy Metro 3 cylinder 5 speed. Has 78,098 original miles with the original motor and body. Equipped with driver and passenger air bags, in very good condition. No problems with the transmission or motor. The transmission shifts smooth and tight. Motor runs great! Installed new four channel speakers but still has the original cd deck. The interior is in very good condition. Everything on the interior functions normally. When I purchased the car two years ago I bought seat covers for the front and back seats. Has heavy duty black rubber floor mats in the driver, passenger, and rear seats. This 2000 Chevrolet Metro is in very good condition and gets 50 miles to the gallon in city when using non-bio fuel or non-flex fuel and more than 55 on highway. (Phillips 66 gas is what I have used - no ethanol) I have always kept up with oil changes. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It can easily get up to highway and interstate speeds. I am the fourth owner of this gas efficient beauty. This car was originally purchased in Florida where the first and second owner reside. The third owner lives in California and he flew to Florida to purchase this car. I did the same thing when I purchased this car from him. I flew to California and picked it up less than two years ago and drove it back to Boise, Idaho. The only reason I am telling you this is I looked for this car with impossibly low miles for a Geo Metro / Chevy Metro more than a year on the internet. Once I found it, I flew to California and drove it home so it has been out of harsh winter weather that causes these cars to rust, for most of its life. It has been garaged and not used during the winter months since I have owned it. I am getting ready to become an ex-pat and leave the U.S. and that is the only reason I am selling this car. I have looked around again on the internet to assess a price for this car and I have not been able to find a single car even at dealerships with the same low miles and condition that this car has. This is a one of a kind car and I have friends that have gone more than 300,000 miles on these fuel-efficient 3-cylinder engines. I bought it when it had 72,000 miles and have only put 6,000 miles on it in two years. I really hate to get rid of this car but I don't want to put this car into storage because my family and I are moving overseas. How much does it cost for a Toyota Prius or an fuel efficient car that is definitely not as reliable as these Geo/Chevy Metros have been? This car already has a long running track record of fuel efficiency and reliability and for a quarter of the cost. Again you won't find a car like this one. This was one of the last years they made this vehicle. They should make them again. Until Chevrolet does or ever does, this might be your only chance. If you have had one in the past you know what I am talking about. I am not a dealer. This car is my personal car so I am very familiar with it and will answer any questions honestly. update: I have had many questions and requests for more pictures and so I will be adding several pictures by Saturday at 1:00pm MST. I got home too late tonight to get any good pictures but I have added three new pictures. I took off the seat covers and the floor mats and will be taking pictures that show how great the interior is. I will be taking pictures of the undercarriage to show that there is no rust. A request was made for a "Buy It Now" option and so I have made some changes to price with a buy it now price. This sweet Chevrolet Metro will need tires soon and so if you choose the buy it now option, I will be including a set of brand new tires as part of the buy it now price. Something I did not mention is that it has a brand new battery. The rotor and cap, spark plugs, wires, and everything like that was replaced as a tune-up last April.
