Amazing MPG in this hard-to-find VW TDI. I am the original owner and used this car as a commuter car for one year. I commuted approximately 100 miles a day. The car was purchased because not only did it get amazing gas mileage but it is really safe. See the safety ratings! The care is still under VW warranty and I have all the service records. The car has been through all the recommended service checks. I am a non-smoker and the car has never been smoked in. I have added mud mats for all the floors including the trunk. The car has never been in an accident but has one tiny dent on the rear passenger side that is the result of a door from another car hitting the passat. It is in near-perfect shape. There are a few marks are the back bumper that will not rub off with car soap and elbow grease. (these marks are not scratches) I am sure that it could be fixed up really easily.I placed a hot bike light down on the rear seat and it melted a small hole in the seat. It did not burn through, just melted the fabric. See image. I have checked with local body shops and this is an easy fix. I specifically searched out for a manual transmission because they are fun to drive and they get better gas mileage than the automatics. The only reason that I am selling this car is because we moved closer to my work and our family is growing - I hate to admit it but we are looking for a mini van.
