Vehicle Detail
VW Passat Wagon for auction with NO reserve price! I have been the only owner since purchased new in August 2004. Car used entirely in the DC metro area, with no smokers or pets. Drives great at all speeds. Roof rack: VW rails and Thule cargo bars included; but the Thule bike holder is not included. Also included is a nice VW trunk area cover that is retractable (not shown in photos). Front brake pads and rotors replaced in 2013. Four new Continental tires installed in 2011. Oil and oil filter change every 6 months at VW dealer. Sold "As Is". Maintained by Martens VW; which recommends repairs to left CV boot, hood lifting shock, and exterior mirror adustment controls. Very nice exterior condition except for dent on front left side fender caused by low-speed bump into driveway basketball pole (in photos). FAQ: Q: Do you have an estimated cost of repair for the recommended CV boot repair?A: Yes, it was done on the other side a year ago at Martens VW for $340 parts and labor. [Found torn outer CV boot. Replaced left CV boot.]Q: Hello, has the timing belt been changed yet? Any other major maintenance been done? A: Good question -- yes! The timing belt was changed in 2008, and two drive belts replaced in 2011. Other replacements includes 2013 (front brake pads and rotors), 2012 (fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs), 2011 (all tires, emissions check valve, fuel pump), 2010 (rear brake pads, thermostat). Oil and filter change twice a year. I have sold two other used cars on ebay in previous years with very satisified buyers. Please ask any questions through the link on this web page.
