Vehicle Detail
These days of 9-5 workdays , Overtime on the weekends . And the many responsibilities life has for us all . What a better way to get out enjoy yourself and relax than with a beautiful 1978 Poptop Camper . Since the day has come where the iconic VW Bus has stopped production after over 50 years . These classic VW Buses have quickly become much more than just an everyday vehicle . They have become a true classic . This Poptop camper is equipped with all the bells and whistles , To start with this classic camper has the full penthouse poptop , featuring a full sized bed upstairs as well as a full bed downstairs . it does have zipper style vents up top , the side screens will need a little attention but the poptop vinyl is in great shape . This van also features a working 12 volt refrigerator , propane gas stove , sink and water pump and water storage . With the option to plug in at any camp ground it does open you up for the possibilities of using conventional 120volt things like your coffee pot from home .The paint is in great shape with only a blemish or chip here and there . But on a scale from 1-10 I would say its a good solid 8 . The rockers and undercarriage are rock solid . looks like under the front matt has some surface rust and a little patch at some point , But is very solid, The windshield has a small crack down low . but is not all that bad and isn't too noticeable . This 1978 Camper also is equipped with a very strong running 2.0L aircooled VW Motor with a weber carb , I do not know the actual miles on the motor but do assume it was rebuilt at some point in its life by hows strong and smooth it runs . although it will have a slight drip under it after some driving . Seems pretty typical for a VW of its age . The transmission was just replace and shifts smooth and nice . Brakes are in good shape as well . The bus truly drives down the road straight and tight . I recently mounted up a new set of BRM replica wheels to give this bus a bit sportier look . All the ones I see has stock wheels and I wanted something to set this bus apart from all the others I see . I really don't want to let this bus go , as these days nice ones are getting harder and harder to find . The bus is very complete ,solid , and all around great looking . It is nice enough to feel proud of driving around ,but not so nice your afraid to go out and take it camping with the family . So Im going to offer this bus for sale and if it doesn't sell I am already planning my summer time trips with it . If you looking for a great classic VW Camper ,that if cared for will not only hold its value for years to come . But will gain interest as an investment years down the road . Nice buses are harder and harder to come by . So here a chance to pick up a good one ..On Jan-18-14 at 11:55:40 PST, seller added the following information: I need to mention that the gas gauge doesn't read correctly . I assume its the fuel sender in the tank needing replaced . But I have not tested the gauge . I wanted to point this out as I don't see this in my vehicle description .
