up for auction is my 1968 Jaguar XKE with 65,000 original miles. I'm not a expert on Jags so I will try to describe as best as possible. I bought the car to restore unfortunately I will need to sell in order to put my Daughter through collage. The car is all original and comes with the" Heritage Trust Certificate". The car runs perfect, does not burn oil or have any oil leaks. Transmission shifts and operates as it should, the slave cyl was replaced, I still have the original, I think it has to be bled out you have to push the clutch all the way down to shift. I had the car looked at by a local shop just to inspect everything he said that the brakes are all new and that the brake line were all replaced. He also said the rear rubber mounts were all replaced at some point. Electrical system is all working perfect interior lights all work, exterior lights all works as they should. There are two issues the radio and wipers, the mechanic said that there is power to the wipers (so you will need wiper motor replaced) also said that the exhaust system was in good shape but missing rear (muffler boxes) I think the car came with 4 mufflers originally and now only has 2. As far as the body it will need to be painted I think it is the original paint, floors are all solid with no rust ever. There is a small quarter size hole on the drivers side rocker not bad. The tires were dry rotted so they were all replaced with new ones. The interior will need some attention the head liner will need to be replaced, rear leather on seat cracked, front seats were reupholstered, carpet is original and still in good shape. The car still has it original spare tire and jack. This is the perfect Jaguar to restore or just drive the way it is. Please only bid if you have funds to pay.
