This is an 81 GL 1100 that I had purchased from a friend who had disassembled and "cleaned" the carburetors and then told me he thought the engine locked up. He said it was running fine before he worked on the carbs. I checked the oil and it was way over full so I pulled the spark plugs and shot the fuel out of the cylinders, drained the oil and put new filter and oil in it.. put fuel in and it started right up. The #3 carb fuel is not shutting off and drains the gas into the engine. I have not started it again after finding this. It runs with no knocks, there is smoke because the exhaust pipes have oil in them from the engine being over filled with filled with gas/oil. The bike shows some wear but is all here and a great bike for someone who wants to clean it up. The front tire is flat right now because the valve broke on it.I had planned on fixing this and riding it but my health has not been good and I have more projects going than I can ever finish in my lifetime so I'm letting some go and this is one of them.
