Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Matching Numbers 350cu / 300hp 4 speed Manual Rare Daytona Yellow Power Steering / Power Brakes Freshly Rebuilt Engine and Transmission This is a great example of a well kept and well maintained 1970 Corvette Convertible. I have owned this car for several years and have decided to sell off part of my car collection so this one is up for grabs. I believe I am the third owner according to the gentleman I purchased it from out of Rocklin California. He spent a good deal of money sorting this car out to include the following; -Freshly rebuilt engine and transmission (approximately 500 miles on it) -new alternator -new custon ribbed exaust system (sounds awesome!) -new radial tires -new convertible top -new shocks -new A-arm bushings and tie rods -new engine harness The body is in good shape but does show some typical blistering on the fender and some minor chip and nicks in the paint. From 10 feet away it looks great but for the perfectionist it could use a new paint job to make it show quality. The original interior seating and carpet are in good condition. The radio was removed by the prior owner as he was going to have a new cd system installed but decided not to cut the original dash. A period correct am/fm/8 track stereo is included in the sale. This car in in strong mechanical condition and drives very well. Whats left to fix: -install stereo -flip up headlights work but act lazy -small crack in dash (see picture) -smal ding in lower front spoiler -vacuum actuated windshield wiper cover shroud lifts up but has to be pushed back down into the stow away position by hand -interior cabin light is not working -temp/fuel gauge may need service -wear spot in fiberglass behind driver seat Overall, this is a sweet Corvette that anyone would be proud to own. If you have been looking for a great American Classic to own, look no further! This is a great opportunity to own a car that is certainly a good investment as they are going to just keep going up in value. The car is currently registered in California until 7-26-2014 and insured. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule an inspection and test drive. On Dec-28-13 at 18:38:03 PST, seller added the following information: Correction: This car does not have power steering or brakes. Sorry to missreport this. It is a true 70's sports car. Down to basics. On Dec-29-13 at 14:20:34 PST, seller added the following information: A potential buyer pointed out to me that it looked like there may be some rust on the lower windshield pillars. I carefully inspected these areas and did find some rust areas on the upper pillar fins. It does not appear to be a structural issue and should be easy to repair. The main pillars appear to be in good shape. Also, I didn't ralize that the spare tire and carrier were missing from the car. I checked with the prior owner to see if he had them and he pointed out that they were missing when he purchased the car. They can be purchased from several corvette supply houses.
