Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this wonderful one owner 1968 Plymouth Fury VIP with 50,600 original miles! This car truly is a Southern California time capsule. The Plymouth sold new at Pike's Chrysler Plymouth in Arvin, California and has spent its entire life in sunny Bakersfield. Used sparingly for a occasional road trip but mostly for those special trips to the beauty parlor, this car has extremely low miles at 50,600 and is in exceptional condition. Zero signs of rust and no leaks, drips or slobbers. This Plymouth gets attention everywhere I take it - It is that nice! The Plymouth sports its original paint which shines very nicely BUT, as should be expected, does have a couple of thin spots. The trim and fit/finish are extremely nice. Doors close solid and windows roll up and down nicely. The car does have the expected little door dings and one shopping cart "rub" but nothing one should not expect for a 45 year old car. The vinyl top is VERY nice and in GREAT condition. It is not a Cuda or a Roadrunner but be ready for compliments and thumbs up whenever you take the car out! It is always a crowd favorite! The interior is as near to perfect as you can get. The only flaw I am aware of is a slight split in the drivers arm rest (see photo). Seats, headliner, door panel, carpet and dash are near perfect. This is a very comfortable nice driving car. Mechanically the Plymouth is very solid. Fitted with the iconic 383 Commando the Plymouth runs shifts and drives great. It does have the typical Mopar hesitation when accelerating from a stop but that clears up a bit as the car warms up and is getting better the more the car is driven. I think a nice long road trip would do the car wonders! A/C needs a charge but other than that everything is operational The car is well documented with all paperwork since new (registration, work orders etc). Spare is a bias ply with all original jack equipment in place. Also included is the original owner's manual and shop manual. It really is getting difficult to find original unmolested, well cared for classics that have not been over restored hiding deep dark secrets of the past. This Plymouth is that find! As I said, it is not a Cuda or a Roadrunner BUT it sure would look cool pulling that vintage trailer down the highway next summer! Don't miss your opportunity to own this beautiful 1968 Plymouth Fury VIP. You will not find another one like it! Feel free to call Dean at 661-703-8402 with any questions.
