1989 Chevy 1/2 ton Short Bed 2wd "not running" I just took the starter to napa and they said the starter is fine...(12/18/2013 9am)...so maybe the engine is stuck?.?.?, seems odd as when i click the starter the engine turns a little ? Battery is new and so is the alternator. Tonight (12/18/2013) Im going to remove the transmission inspection cover and see if I can turn the flywheel at all. Ok, (12/18/2013 6pm) so I just removed the inspection cover and with a big screwdriver I can barely spin the flex plate although it will move. This is the last thing I am going to try. It may need a new engine or ? Bargain Priced. NO RESERVE, Fix it and have a great truck. Truck was running and driving just fine a couple weeks ago, now just clicks when you try to start it. (battery charged) may just need a starter? 1989 Chevy Silverado 2wd Short bed, V8 engine Auto trans, Air cond, sport steering wheel, 250k miles Power windows, locks, brakes, stereo. Headers, duel exhaust, New alternator, new studded tires on rear, custom wheels. All glass is good Bed liner, receiver hitch for towing Good tags Interior is nice although not perfect (see pics) it is over 20 years old Body looks good, not beat up, some of the clearcoat on the roof is flaking off on spots (see picture) and the passenger door needs a new bushings (sags) I will be removing and keping the new battery although will leave it in to show you everything works...windows/stereo/heater etc. I will also include the four factory aluminum wheels I am selling to the highest bidder......... so make sure you have the funds or ask any questions before you bid.
