Up for auction is a 2003 VW Passat with 1.8 turbo charged engine and manual transmission. This car has 156754 miles on it and has been in storage for about three years so it will need some repairs before putting back in service. First the good stuff. Car was purchased new and has had only one owner. It has had regular maintenance always. Body is in very good condition with only very minor scratches and dings. Interior is in good condition as well, just needs a good cleaning. Tires are almost new and all accessories work. Now the issues. Before storage the car would die randomly and restart, Computer had a code for a Throttle Position Sensor. When driving there is a scraping noise coming from the front left, I do not know the cause but it sounds like brakes although they seem to work ok. The battery needs to be replaced as it has been sitting so long and when running there is a slight exhaust leak sound.
