You are bidding a 1968 VW Karmann Ghia, this car was built in 2005 and sat in a heated garage to now. Car is 95 percent done. I am listing this car for my father, he builds street rods and customs and he does not know or fool around with these types of cars, so we do not know anything about them. It was traded in on another car. I can tell you that it was rust free to start as you can see in pics. No floor replacement or patches found anywhere! The car was totally disassembled and the Engine was rebuilt with many mods done including dual solex 35mm carbs. The car was converted to manual using a totally rebuilt transmission and new clutch. The brakes and suspension where also addressed. New wheels and tires. All new interior, I have a new headliner with bows but are not installed yet. The body was taken down to bare metal and was painted in 2005 also. All glass and moldings are nice, windshield has windshield wiper marks on it, might buff out? New stainless on body sides. I wouldn’t recommend buying car and flying in to drive home as i said it is brand new and not proven. Car can use some missing emblems and such. With a week of tinkering and barley any money this car can be awesome !!!!!! I am not disclosing the reserve, but i can tell you that my reserve is lower than the cost of engine and trans was to have rebuilt! I have NYS registration in hand with original owners manual including protect o plate! There was a ton of money spent on this car and i have a stack of receipts! Bid to own! Reserve is low!
