This is an ideal project Corvette for the professional restorer or an experienced Corvette hobbyist. Due to the fact our service business is booked up for the winter we have decided to sell the car. We purchased the car from the owner who bought it in 1983. The car was driven and then about 10 years ago was taken apart for restoration but never completed. The body panels are period correct fiberglass and in great condition. Most of the body has been stripped of paint and most minor repairs have been completed. Look at the pictures, the body speaks for itself. The frame is very solid and in great condition with no signs of damage. The pictures will show the frame quality. The engine is a correct 1548 block with a cast date of L146 (Dec 14,1956) The pad is stamped F1217EG, which is correct for a 270Hp manual trans. The engine appears to be rebuilt but no further information is available. The transmission is a Muncie with date code P7B02. It appears to have been rebuilt but no further information is available. The interior is red and the seats have been recovered and refurbished. There is also new carpet, new kick panels and the original door panels and stainless. The car is hardtop only, there is not soft top frame. The hardtop has all of the stainless but will need all new glass and weather strips. The pictures show all of the parts that come with the car. Some of the parts are new, some are rebuilt or refinished and some are original. We know there are some missing parts but most of the major components are with the car. We will answer questions about any parts that come with the car as best as we can. The Corvette has a clean Illinois title in our Corvette Mike name which matches the VIN tag on the car.
