Please read description carefully and email or call with any questions before bidding. 1968 Toyota Crown sedan. No reserve. Has a four-speed manual, with straight six engine. This is a super rare car in America, but may need to be restored. Everything on here is either original or stock except the Vertec racing wheels. Odometer says 66,000 but I don't know if these miles are original or not. It's been parked since 2009 but I've ran the engine on a regular basis to keep it from seizing and the fluids going. I've never seen any unusual or excess smoke but I'm not a profound expert. Will start, idle under its own power, and move at parking lot speeds but is not drivable at this time, and will have to be towed. It is also not registered, nor insured at this time. Before it was parked, the transmission worked fine and the engine never overheated. Newly-remanufactured carburetor was installed shortly before it was parked. Today, the brakes need to be rebuilt and the alternator won't charge the battery. It appears the differential seal may need to be replaced. I've never had trouble getting parts for this car. The two front door latches may also need to be rebuilt and most of the door rubber is bad. Carpet is worn, driver's seat has a few lacerations and the top of rear seat back is in poor condition. Headliner has a side-to-side split. Please be advised despite its rather clean exterior appearance in the pics, this car does have rust issues in confined and obscure areas. In a few spots on the exterior surface, it has broken through the paint. The worst areas are under the hood and along the rear of trunk lid, though it seems the roof exterior is in best condition by comparison. There seems to be minimal rust in floor pans, though the part of the trunk where the spare tire sits has an approximate 1X3 inch hole. Rust on battery tray is very bad, but it still holds the battery tightly. All lights and turn signals were tested and work, though one of the front parking light lens is cracked. Rear bumper has a dent. Original AM radio doesn't work. The faceplate for the after-market stereo receiver is missing. Each wheel has curb rash along the rim, though is only noticable up close. Tires were also new at the time it was parked, though are probably reaching their expiration date. Glass is generally good condition except for a few small stone spots on windshield. I have all service records for the past nine years (totalling thousands $$$), and clear Florida title. Could make a unique custom project and the bay MIGHT be big enough for a small-block V8.
