Optional accessories include upgraded alloy wheels, leather wrapped wheel, air conditioning, and the glass top with sliding sunshield. The winter tires are available but sold separately. Carfax indicates Only 2 prior owners, however, the car transferred ownership very early on. Prior owner put all but 700 miles on it and owned it for the past 6 years 9 months. No accidents or mileage issues reported. Mechanically, this car runs flawlessly. This car is definitely more then capable of doing a cross country trip. Finally, I do drive the vehicle somewhat, so mileage may increase slightly during the auction. There are just a few things that make Smart cdi's unique and one of only about 80 or so here in the United States. It is powered by a Mercedes engineered turbo diesel that is well known for lasting hundreds of thousands of miles. This euro-spec version has been in production since 1998 and has been proven dependable. I can easily achieve 50 to 60 mpg and hits speeds of 75+ comfortably on the freeways. The transmission is a Tiptronic (no clutch manual or sometimes called "slap stick"). This model also has the selector switch for the fully automatic transmission feature. And finally, unlike the 2nd generation US models, it also has 6 speeds instead of the 5. Many questions always come up regarding servicing the car. An online manual is available from the website "Evilution". Ebay does not permit me to place the link in, but just Google it. There you will find a wonderful resource with helpful descriptions and pictures to help in performing repairs and maintenance. As for mechanics to do maintenance on the car; I always recommend contacting an independent mechanic specializing in European cars. Sometimes they employ mechanics fresh "off the boat" from Eastern Europe that have knowledge of these cars over there. Having disclosed that the car is a grey market car, please check your DMV to ensure it will title in your state. I have a clear Ohio title and will pass it on to the buyer.
