Offering 1997 VW Golf. The Golf will go to the highest bidder. I have owned this Golf for approx 6 years, 5 years it was my daily driver till I bought a new car. This Golf is not perfect but the German engineering make this a nice dependable vehicle that gets 30 MPG. In the last year, while I have not driven the vehicle I have replaced with new the following; shocks, front coil springs, battery, starter, alternator, serpentine belt and more. I have changed the oil and filter regularly and the engine does not burn or leak oil and runs strong. Body is, well look at the picture, but the undercarriage is very clean and has no rust. There is one cracked headlight lens but there is one listed on eBay for 20.00 and easy to install. Car has a good exhaust system, 5 speed transmission, AM/SM radio, heater works, ac works. Car will need some attention to inspect, small stuff like tail light being out. Odometer reads approx 131k miles but this is not accurate as the odometer works intermittently and I do not know exact ally how many miles are on the vehicle. The tires and brakes are good, the car drives straight and smooth at all speeds. This car is being sold as is and no warranty is offered or implied. I will require a 300.00 deposit through PayPal within 24 hours of the auction and full payment within 7 days of the auction ending. I cannot deliver the car so the winning bidder will need to make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. While the body on this vehicle is rough I believe this would make a great winter car or beater where someone wants to rack up miles and get good gas mileage. The vehicle is priced accordingly. The Kelly Blue Book value of this vehicle in Fair Condition (I would rate the mechanical in Good) is 1200.00.
