Selling my dream truck that I've owned for 12 years and have put countless hours into. I bought truck 12 years ago from Texas as a running and driving truck. It had a small block 350 and 700R4 transmission in it at the time, C notch rear frame section, Camero front sub frame and rear end, other than that it was stock. I drove the truck for a couple of months and began to notice it was not fast enough and trans had no overdrive and there was cancer in all the right places. That's when I started the restoration process and pulled cab and bed off. Here's the list of what I did and changed on it. Pulled the 350/700R4 and put in a 2001 4.8 fuel injected engine and 4L60E transmission w/ Lokar shifter.New aluminum radiator and electric fanKept Camero sub frame but replaced all bushings/ ball joints/ tie rods and rear end.Cut the rear frame section off with the C notch and replaced with the stock 59 truck frame.Replaced front fenders with fiberglass and steel 56 hood.Put all new glass and rubber seals.Painted all chrome black.Truck was repainted a copper orange color, inside is a jet gloss black. Paint is nice but not perfect, has some chips from driving and lite scratches here and there.Seats are a two tone vinyl orange and black w/ orange stitching.Stock fuel tank from 01 donor truck was placed in the bed and covered with diamond plate.Dash was never cut up and has a stock looking radio that digital and works.The list goes on, but this is the major stuff. Here's where the story gets sad..... So finished truck and was burning the rubber off the truck with all the new HP and getting 25 miles to the gallon, it was freaking fast! But one day on my usual drive the wire harness grounded it self out and fried the computer. So I took the truck to my mechanic friend and he worked on it for a couple of months and didn't do anything to fix it (just gave me a huge bill). So I then took it to another mechanic friend and gave him a new painless harness to rewire it and after 8 months; I got nothing but a mess. In despair I took truck back home and now have no time to fix (raising a family of 4) and just want to move on with life. So truck at this point does not run or drive and will need wire harness finished. My pain is your gain.
