Vehicle Detail
(1974 Suzuki TM125 Challenger) (Frame Serial # 40483) (Engine serial # 40451) (Date 5/74) Recently removed from longtime storage a service was performed and it started right up and runs & rides great, Compression feels good though did not gauge it, Air filter was replaced, New clutch cable installed, Motor sounds strong & shifts excellent thru all gears also the clutch works great, Chain & sprockets look stock and in good condition, Not knowing if the oil pump worked so premixed the fuel also injection oil was added to the reservoir and once running oil is moving thru the delivery tubes also the cable moves freely operating the pump, Fuel tank required patching with epoxy for three tiny underside rust holes and the inside tank area thru the filler neck is rust free, Petcock does not leak and works very smoothly, As shown the fuel tank has paint chipping and dented in a few places though ok for track usage but not show quality ! Exhaust is dented which also required epoxy to seal holes, Kick starter is wobbly and was removed to inspect the shaft splines which are fine only the splines on the kicker are slightly worn, Wheels forks and swingarm feel tight no looseness, Fork tubes has very light rust pitting on the top the lower sections are clean and no seal leakage, Spokes are tight none are missing also wheels are in nice shape, Tires have dry rot (IRC Motocross GS-45) Shocks are stock with minimal damping no seal leakage present, Brakes feel good and did not remove wheels to inspect also the front brake lever is partially broken off, Seat cover looks stock has small holes/tears the seat foam is still good for riding/racing, Front & rear fenders look aftermarket side panels are OEM and do not see any cracks, Handlebar is stock. Overall this TM125 appears to have low hours most nuts & bolts are not rounded off plus the intact oil pump say's no modification since leaving the dealership, A very nice survivor which would make for either a great restoration show piece or without too much effort an excellent vintage racer ! I recently acquire this rare find and was going to keep it for my own AHRMA vintage racing needs but decided it's too small and will stay too riding/racing my bigger machines. (Bike stand is (not) included in this sale !) Please ask as many questions needed prior to bidding and if your still unsure or have any doubts it may be best not to bid on this motorcycle since this will be an "AS IS" sale meaning no return or refund the sale will be final ! (NOTE) This is a local pick up only no shipping service will be available though, I will be willing to bring it to a shipping location no charge if within twenty five miles any further we'll need to work out a fuel & toll fee. Payment to be made within three days after auction end. Thank you and best of bidding !
