Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on the 1975 BMW R75/6 shown in the photos. This bike has been in long term storage. I changed out all of the fluids and installed new air and oil filters, spark plugs, installed a new battery, flushed the tank and have it running fine. I have ridden it in and out of the driveway several times and it rides, shifts, starts and stops just fine. It has the Vetter fairing that was installed when the bike was new...it still has the little plastic shower cap over the headlight bucket and the wiring is plug-n-play so it would be easy to remove if you don't like it. It also has the bags as shown....yes the key is included. The speedometer is broken, as is the right mirror, the right battery cover is missing, the tires are in excellent condition but I recommend changing them out for two reasons....they are old and the front tire is so tall that I cannot fully seat the front fender bracket without it rubbing on the front tire. The tool kit is still in the bike. The bike has an oil leak....I am not sure from where but it is leaking.......possibly the rear main seal. It can be ridden as-is but I recommend that you address the issues that I have addressed. The paint on the tank has alligatoring but overall this is a nice motorcycle and certainly worthy of restoration or repair and ride it as-is. No reserve on the auction, it sells to the high bidder period. Buyer is responsible for shipping, $250.00 non-refundable deposit required within 48 hours of auction ending unless your local and come to pick it up straight away. Cash in person, wire transfer if needed....the bike MUST be paid for in full before it leaves my possession so if your coming to pick it up, bring cash or send payment (check or money order) well in advance of your pick up date so that it clears my bank beforehand....I am not unreasonable folks...this is just standard precaution...hope you understand. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
